Gather experiences, be part of the atmosphere of the EHF EURO 2022 and join the team of volunteers!
The countdown can begin!
Hungary (together with Slovakia) can organize the European Men’s Handball Championship for the first time, during which the members of the #sportönkéntcsalád volunteer group can help in the successful organization.
The top 24 teams in Europe will shine their knowledge in more than 60 matches in 17 days. In Hungary, in addition to Budapest, Szeged and Debrecen are among the host cities, while in Slovakia, handball fans can enjoy tournament matches in Kassa and Bratislava.
In the Hungarian capital, the matches are held in the newly built Budapest Multifunctional Sports Hall for more than 20,000 people, in Szeged in the new, also world-class New Arena, while in Debrecen the matches are held in the renewable Főnix Hall.

In addition to the matches, there will be several accompanying events and programmes so both volunteers and fans can focus on the experiences. Selected volunteers can get to know about the background of organizing a world event, see behind the scenes, try themselves in a number of exciting areas such as competition management, team liaison, media, VIP, accreditation or the fan zone. In the meantime, they can gain valuable experience, new friendships, knowledge and a wealth of experiences.

Application conditions:
16 years of age
participation in pre-event trainings
a minimum of one European Championship stage – group stage, main round or final weekend – and a minimum of 8-10 shifts
advantage: language skills
a vaccination certificate (from both vaccines against Covid-19) and an immunity certificate card without expiry date
The organizing committee will provide full uniforms and meals. We certify internships and community service. During the event, volunteers can participate in joint programs, trainings, games, competitions, and at the end receive a certificate of recognition.

give the time interval from which you can take a job (of course most volunteers are needed at the time of the matches, but mornings and holidays also provide things to do)
remember to indicate your accommodation needs (we can provide accomodation in limited quantities – and only in Szeged and Debrecen)
after pre-selection, we will notify you of the time and method of the interview
we get to know you during an interview
we will let you know if you are included or not.
