The online series of challenges of the Hungarian Student Sports Association have a great success among children, and the popularity of handball is well illustrated by the fact that out of more than 23,000 uploaded videos, almost 6,000 come from our sport.
The traditional Student Olympics was already missed in the spring of 2020 due to the pandemic situation, thus the Hungarian Student Sports Association launched the programme called Game Time. The series of online challenges also continued in 2021, and Watch Games. See More. team also joined it.
The activity aims to encourage students to exercise actively, promote the healthy lifestyle and the eight sports involved, including handball.
In our sport, a selection of handball players present the exercises to the 10-14 year olds, these challenges need to be copied by the kids – and videos about it should be uploaded to the official website of the programme.
Originally, the challenge series would have lasted seven weeks, but it is so popular that the activity will be extended until April 16th.
By mid-March, more than 4,200 young people had registered for the Game Time programme, and more than 23,300 videos had been uploaded to the interface, of which nearly 6,000 were in the handball sport.
Kids can join the challenges at any time (they can complete the tasks afterwards), collect points that can be redeemed in the Game Time “webshop.
