Draw a tale: we have the winning characters
The joint initiative of WGSM and BOOKR Kids has entered a new phase: the jury and the audience have selected the protagonists of the handball tale from more than 500 application. The figures will soon “come to life” and greet the creators and the European Championship in the form of an animated tale.
With our call, we spoke a few weeks ago to children aged 7 and 10, from whom we expected handball drawings to format the given animal characters. Our joint initiative with the BOOKR Kids team aims to bring the youngest generation closer to the European Championships, while also offering them a community experience.
More than 500 (!) drawings were received for the call in three weeks. We thank the teachers and the parents for the organization and the children for the activity. From the incoming drawings, a four-member jury selected six, and the seventh character was selected by WGSM followers on our Facebook page.
“I was so happy that the kids were so active, and in this world of computer and tablets, so many people grabbed colored pencils. I wonder what the team will be able to do together, I look forward to the next task so that I can tell about their handball adventure” said actress Tamara Zsigmond, narrator of the animated tale, a member of the jury.
The BOOKR Kids team, with the help of writer József Keresztesi, builds the final characters based on the original drawings, and also finishes their story. The animated tale will be completed in the coming months.
