EHF EURO 2022: Increased attention at the teams’ hotel
The Main Round of the EHF EURO 2022 co-hosted by Hungary and Slovakia throws off on Thursday, and there will be 12 games across 4 matchdays in Budapest. The teams arriving for the Main Round will be accomodated at the Danubius Hotel Helia, where they will receive special attention superseding the expectations of the EHF because of the growing epidemic situation.
The Hungarian organizing committee – constantly coordinating with the EHF – will do everything to achieve that the Covid epidemic has as low effect on the everyday life of the participating teams as possible.
Budapest welcomes four new national teams after the preliminary group: Denmark and Montenegro from Debrecen, France and Croatia from Szeged will join Iceland and the Netherlands who advanced from Group B to the Main Round. The six teams will be accomodated at the Danubius Hotel Helia, where they will relax with regulations superseding the expectations of the EHF.

Reacting to the spread of the Omicron variant, the teams will dine and move separately and nobody outside the teams may stay at the hotel during EHF EURO 2022.
The Hungarian organizing committee will continously follow the everyday life of the teams, their needs and will monitor the actual virus situation. They will also provide every necessary measure to host the tournament safely and smoothly.
