Erika Kirsner, vice-president of the Hungarian Handball Association, evaluated the children's work as a member of the jury:
“It was interesting to see how the children see the athletes from the outside: the man and woman playors. In the drawings, the center was also bloodier, the extreme filigree, as in reality, i.e. the kids had already seen handball games, they had a knowledge of the sport, which is very good! It is gratifying that more than 500 applications have been received, it is a good feeling that such an initiative made it possible to move the children. Congratulations to all competitors, especially to the winners! ”
The drawn tale begins at the last minute of a handball match – the stand is a draw – and shows the story of the winning goal achieved with real teamwork.
“I was very happy that the kids were so active, and in this world of computer, tablets, so many people grabbed colored pencils. I was glad to be able to tell the team's handball adventures, ”said actress Tamara Zsigmond, a narrator of the animated film and a member of the jury.
“I would like to congratulate all the kids for the great drawings, it’s great that so many signed up and they were moved by handball,” said Adrián Sipos, the player of the Hungarian men’s national team.
"I have two little girls, the older five-year-old, we draw a lot, and I see she has talent for it." They also love fairy tales, I read to them every night, sometimes during the day, and this fairy tale booklet is sure to be a favorite! I hope the kids will continue to watch handball and many of them will come to support us live at the January EHF EURO 2022. ”
The programme aimed to bring the youngest generation closer to the sport and the European Championship through a community experience.
The tale, available in the BookRKids „Mesetár”, is special not only because of its sporty nature, but also because it includes an interactive game that inspires children to lead an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The tale will be available for free for one month from 12 August.
