SZIN: It was a big party, see you in January!
We couldn’t miss the biggest festival of one of the host cities of the European Championship, we were there at the Szeged Youth Days!
In addition to the concerts and community programmes, we were not idle in Szeged: we introduced the main messages of the European Championship to many, and we recruited fans and volunteers for the January tournament. Of course, in Szeged, one of the Hungarian citadels of our sport, you don’t have to fuss about people when it comes to handball!
We were pleased with the openness that there was a lot of interest in our theme park, where young people could measure their non-primarily handball skills: by measuring reaction time, they could test their shooting speed, and as a commentator they could test their skills in sports and broadcasting.

The most skilful won a day ticket to the European Championship. The Szeged group will bring a real star parade: the Olympic champion French, the European Championship silver medalists Croatian, the neighboring Serb and the Ukrainian teams will play in the new arena built on the occasion of the European Championship between 13 and 17 January!
The arena will be the home to the iconic team of the city, the current Hungarian champion PICK Szeged. The club held a meeting with the fans during the festival called Picknik; of course we were also there.
Needless to say, the most popular player in our programmes was Tricky, the always cheerful mascot of the European Championship, who gained many hundreds of fans during the week.
There is no question that in four months we will have similarly unforgettable experiences in Szeged: already at the European Championship!
