Urbango Spot More: downtown adventure tour, focusing on the EHF EURO 2022!
We tried the „outdoor escape room” of Budapest, its varied treasure hunt, and we were not disappointed in the city or in the game. Our vlogger, Csaba Magyarósi, and Máté Lékai, a key member of the Hungarian men’s handball team, also went for a trial run.
We started our treasure hunt from one of the defining specialty cafes of Budapest, which is a good idea in itself: the writer of the lines also filled himself with a coffee to refresh his brain.
In the beginning he wasn’t so creative, but we didn’t really feel wrong later when we had to stop (well, our self-esteem was a bit hurt by hesitation).
Because the scene is: Budapest!

The track of Urbango Spot More is a complex outdoor adventure game where, even if we get lost, we can look in the small streets of a bustling cosmopolitan city, discovering the smallest details of Budapest. These are also treasures that we don’t use for the game, but we put them in our memory – maybe we’ll go back there „out of competition” later.
We should have finished the course in roughly two hours: we can neither confirm nor deny whether it worked.
Why not? Because the game’s makers tried to make things harder with tasks with a total of 16 stations. Sometimes we succeeded, but there were also easy moments – after all, we are sports and handball lovers, we were good at handball quiz for example.
The Spot More track was built in the spirit of the 2022 Men’s Handball European Championship, trying to bring handball and the event closer to the treasure hunters.
We should have finished the course in roughly two hours: we can neither confirm nor deny whether it worked.

We were also enriched with otherwise surprising information about handball, as we also discovered the stores of the partners involved in the game. We also entered to some of them, which was not always expedient in terms of the tasks of the particular station.
During the adventure tour, we downloaded an application that was essential for the game, we had a map, some cards describing the background knowledge, and it was worth looking at the cards showing the tasks.
When to look down, up or just look around? Always, because we never know where the solution will come to us.
We started the game with seven people, it’s an ideal number where it’s almost guaranteed that the „puzzles” will also be shared among the players. (We also had to show a little bit of our physical strength at one of the stations, the boys are preferred here!)
The track ends right in the middle of Budapest’s party district, where you can relax and sweep the praise.
The UrbanGo Spot More track was a pleasant pastime, it could also be a great programme for fans – also in January 2022.
